What is Equine Massage?
Dictionary.com defines massage as the act or art of treating the body by rubbing, kneading, patting, or the like, to stimulate circulation, increase suppleness, relieve tension, etc.
For years now, humans have benefited from regular massage work. In the last few years, we have applied the art of massage to animals, including horses. Although horses and humans might look different, many of the underlying structures of the skeletal and muscle systems are the same. Just as our bodies are prone to tightness and soreness from our day to day living, work, stress and the like, so too do our horses. A regular massage care can help to relieve such a toil and provide preventative care for injuries.
